A few weeks ago I posted a picture on Twitter (@bon_appateat) that I would be giving this a try…

I should have also posted a picture of the disgust on my face after drinking it, I was unable to finish it. I imagined if you grounded up cardboard and mixed it with juice that this is what it would taste like….I digress. To remedy the situation I decided to purchase carrot juice to dumb down the protein taste, as well as, I thought it would pair perfectly with the vanilla flavor.
The carrot juice only contains carrots, no other ingredient or sweeteners. I bought this at Walmart for $3.24 for 32 fl oz, so this makes four shakes. But you could also buy a bag of carrots for $0.99 and juice it yourself…but I am lazy :/. The protein powder I purchased at Whole Foods for $14.99.
Bolthouse Farms Carrot Juice 1 cup or 8 fl oz = 2 grams of protein
Whole Foods Soy Protein Powder 1 scoop = 24 grams of protein

Recipe:
1 cup of carrot juice
1 scoop of protein powder
1 dash of cinnamon
1 dash of nutmeg
Optional: 1 teaspoon of sugar or condensed milk
Shake and drink….really fast, laughing but serious :). I hope you find this helpful.

Guess who is on time this month?!?! Meeeeeeeeeee -_-

Fruit Smoothie, sold at your local supermarket in the refrigerated juice section. Bolthouse Farms have various flavors, as well as, protein smoothies. I have also tried the Green Goodness flavor which is also delicious. This offers 3 3/4 servings of fruit per bottle. So if you can’t eat your fruits or vegetables, then drink them.
Well you can’t be good all the time, so on “cheat days” I eat these…

I have always been a sour cream and onion gal, but I guess my palette has changed because these chips right hurrr. I am about to go eat some now!
